We live in a world where more and more, the focus has become sustainability and eco-friendliness in an effort to further stretch our planet's lifetime. A popular trend in the pet world has become eco-friendly products, made from recycled products, plant-based elements and more. As someone who works in the pet space, I'm going to share some of my favorite products/brands that every pet parent should follow!
The Poopcase® by Metro Paws® is one of their biggest hits. It's a poop bag dispenser made entirely from plant-based products and is 100% compostable...it's the only one like it on the market! It even comes in 11 colors so you can coordinate based on your style. It has a soft silicone feel to it and is one, solid piece, making it easy to refill on walks. It comes with a carabiner and a free roll of their eco-friendly poop bags inside. Need another reason? They're made in the U.S.A!
These things are fun! I picked one up at SuperZoo Trade Show a couple of years ago from the founders. They are made from their ecolast post-consumer recycled material with a toughsqueak, internal squeaker. The material and texture make it easy to grip and also clean after a day of playing outside. They're even floatable for trips to the lake or beach!
For the dogs that like to rip apart ALL their toys, anything from West Paw is perfect. Why? Because you can send in a ripped up toy fora NEW one and that old one is recycled into a new toy! The Orbee-Tuff Snoof is a great way to keep your dogs active and entertained while they enjoy a snack or even their breakfast/dinner. The toy, made out of reground material, is transparent allowing you to see how much is left in the toy and shallow enough for your pup to get out treats with their tongue. 5. Wondercide Flea + Tick Spray If you need an option for a Flea + Tick spray that can both me used in your home/yard AND your pets, then Wondercide is great! It has no harsh chemicals or synthetic chemicals AND is made from all food-grade materials. It even comes in multiple different scents, but my favorite is Rosemary, which is linked in the title. All the ingredients in all their products are naturally derived, so you can feel good about using them!
Canna-Pet is an organic, hemp-based brand that makes treats and supplements for both dogs and cats. Their biscuits are non-GMO and all-natural ingredients and even human food-grade. The hemp products are ethically sourced while they contribute to their community as well.
